God's Corrupt!
« on: July 21, 2009, 08:00:44 AM »
Ok - title slightly misleading with the misplaced apostrophe, but my original Gods disk 1 has gone corrupt after some 18 years (don't make 'em like they used to you know).

Does anyone have an original Gods game for sale or swap for another original game?

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for the offer Orange.

I'm not sure which tracks are damaged at the moment, just that it goes half way through the loading sequence and then constantly tries to read the disk.  I do have a Cyclone cartridge but I can't remember what version it is - I'll have to dig it out (not used it for around 15 years).

I have tried to make a backup of God's before to guard against such an occurance.  Although a backup of disk 1 was successful - the copy protection was such that the game became much harder to play after level (or world - can't remember which).  Basically all the monsters went into super aggressive mode making it virtually impossible to go beyond half way through the game.

I'd dearly love to play this game again as although I've completed it many times, I've never managed to activate the switch above the ladder adjacent to the treasure room on the first level/world - just one of those things I've got to do before I die. LOL.
