Q2 - I've built quite a few mouse adapters based on the PS2M design and all have worked with USB mice that came supplied with a USB/PS2 adapter.  However, if the USB mouse didn't have a USB/PS2 adapter supplied, then there's a good chance it's USB only and won't work with your Amiga/PS2 adapter.  Something to do with the USB and PS2 'protocols' being different (no idea really).

There's usually a sticker on the underside of the mouse stating 'USB & PS/2 Compatible' or something.

Q3 - I've built a PS2 keyboard adapter based on Stephen Marsden's design, which works great with wireless keyboards.  I've no idea (yet) if a USB keyboard will work, but if the keyboard is supplied with a USB/PS2 adapter or has a sticker saying it's PS/2 compatible - then it      should work ok.

@leirbag28

To be honest - I don't have any experience with commercial keyboard adapters.

But what I can say is that Stephen Marsden's design (IBMkey25) requires connections to the reset, data & clock pins on U13.  If the commercial solutions are the same/similar, then there's a good chance they will work with wireless keyboards.

I'm not well up on the electronics side of things, but I imagine that for a USB keyboard (wired or wireless) to work with a USB/PS2 adapter - it has to be 'PS/2 compatible' also.

I'm working on an adapter that combines the PS2M and IBMkey25 designs.  Headers will be provided so that either PS/2 or USB style connections can be used for keyboard and mouse.  At the moment, the board is built and the PIC's programmed - but I need to finish off the cables so that I can test it out.

So in effect, I need to know the same thing - are there any USB keyboards with PS/2 compatibility?  I'll have a hunt around and see if I can source a cheap USB keyboard and try it out.  I'll let you know how I get on!  :-)

Take a look here -  Ebuyer - it's the UK site, but there should be a similar product your side of the pond!
