Hello World
« on: April 06, 2006, 11:50:19 PM »
Greetings to all!

I'm Dr Dekker.  I'm not a doctor but can be 'trusted' all the same.  Like many others, I'm an old Amigan, but new to Amiga.org.  I started my 'relationship' with the Amiga a long, long time ago.  First mig was an A500+, followed by an A1200 a couple of years later.  Around five years ago I added a vanilla A600 to my collection, and most recently another A600 (HD model) bought from a carboot sale for a fiver.

I'm currently interested in towerising the A1200, although I'll probably do one of the A600's first to see how things work out.  I've already built a PS2 mouse adapter (photo in the 'Images' library somewhere) which works brilliantly, and am about to build a PC keyboard adapter real soon.  Next on the list will be a scan doubler/flicker fixer to enable me to connect the mig to my 19" TFT.  Unfortunately, I don't have the electronic genius to design something myself, so I'll be depending on the resident experts for any solutions and guidance.  From what I've already seen and read in the forums, there's a fantastic amount of talent and knowledge to (hopefully) tap into.

That's it from me for now.

Hasta la vista.

Dr Dekker

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Until I stumbled across this website, I thought the Amiga had slipped away into oblivion.  I'm soooooo glad I was soooooo wrong.  This is without doubt the best Amiga website ever.
