Checkmate A1500 plus and indigogo A500 cases
« on: September 26, 2018, 04:34:55 AM »
I know this has been discussed before, but with only 6 days left on the checkmate Kickstarter project I thought I would bring it up

For anyone who does not know, most of you do or you wouldn't be on Amiga.org

There are a couple crowdfunded amiga case projects out their
two that look interesting (well from my perspective)

An updated checkmate 1500 case for multiple amigas that looks like an A3000
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/483774293/amiga-3000-inspired-modular-amiga-pc-desktop-compu
link is on the home page of Amiga.org

and

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/new-compatible-case-for-amiga-500-plus#/

for the a500 (+)  and a couple of other configurations.
There was previously an A1200 made by these people as well.

Just curious, what are peoples thoughts about both.  The checkmate (at the time of this topic looks like it need another $35,000 in the next 6 days)

The indiegogo case already looks like it is funded enough.

What are all of your thoughts?

yahoo..kickstarter made it  ;D

I won't cheer until tomorrow, then i'll worry about how to customize my white case, not sure if i'm going for a Vampire Card for my A500+ or will Upgrade the ACA500+with an accelerator and USB Card or Finish Building the TerribleFire 530.

;D  It is great that the Kickstarter made it.  I got one as well......  I always wanted the original checkmate back in the day. ...................
