A4000 Keys?
« on: January 31, 2008, 02:50:13 PM »
Hi A-users,
I know this has been asked before but im after a set of keys that will fit in the front beizel lock but unsure what exactly to look for. Preferbly official ones but if not then any that will fit nicely. I was thinking about Maplins but got no idea what to ask for as im not sure of the dimentions and the shape.
Any help would be much apriciated. :-)

@ rkauer, I don't have the tools here (or can't find them) but to be honest that would be best as it can be sorted there if I  can prompt them to. :-)

I return, with a new lock! There was no exact one but the diameter is correct, it just sticks out a small tad but is neat enough. Though I can't work out were the wires should go and were the 3 hole plug goes (I presume it's behind the LED power plugs so thats what I used at the time). I tried to hold the wires on by my finger and switching the machine on and no luck. It always turns on. Some sort of diagram would be great here. :-?

Oops, will give that a go then! Sorry.

[EDIT] Well at the moment my 4000 isn't booting up at all, I fear it maybe a faulty motherboard. Things on the Amiga front for me hasn't been going well or cheaply to say the least.
