It sounds like an Amiga 4000D/030 model which was one of the last models released by Commodore before they went under.
You're confused with the A4000CR (Cost Reduced) which had the 68030 soldered on the mainboard.
The regular A4000 was made with either an A3630 card and labeled A4000/030, or with an A3640 card, labeled A4000/040. I guess there even are more 030s than 040s sold.
