A1200 Problem
« on: May 31, 2015, 05:58:00 PM »
I turned on my 1200 for the first time in a couple of months and it boots up but the pointer is a "clock" (the system seems busy). I can move the pointer around, but can't open folders by left clicking on them. If I right click the memory info at the top of the screen disappears but no menu appears. I disconnected floppy, mouse and 68030 card - no change. Is there something common that causes the system to be "busy" like this?
Thanks.

OK, I plugged the floppy drive back in and booted a 1.3 workbench disks (my 3.1 disks are around somewhere.....) and it worked, I then rebooted off the CF (hard drive) and everything works properly!! I had noticed the floppy light was staying on when I first turned it on, which is why I disconnected the floppy drive. I thought it would work without it. Anyways as long as it keeps working...:-).
Thanks, Len
