Yes, I did the same thing one time. There are at least two different pin spacings.

I can't remember the correct spacing. But I think the socket on Ebay being sold by "acpsurplus" that is 3 1/4" by 1 1/16" is correct. I don't have a 68000 in front of me so make sure measure before you order.
