You might want to join the ImageFX Yahoo Mailing list to ask this question. I think there are people using ImageFX on OS4.1 there:

ImageFX is a great application (the best on the Amiga). The interface is different than other graphics packages, but not difficult to understand.
You will also want to order the print-on-demand manual. It's really worth the price! You'll get so much more out of the application that way.
