Anyone using SAMPLITUDE?

I've found the sound editing software "Samplitude" to be very good (when I could figure out what the heck to do).  However, the one thing that has always bugged me is I've NEVER been able to get it to sync up with an external MIDI sync signal.  Apparently, you can do this.  The web site and the AmigaGuide manual both say:

There is a comfortable time-line-editor, which allows you to edit your multi-track samples non-destructive like in a DTP program. An unlimited number of ranges can be placed freely along the timeline using drag-and-drop-technology. You can synchronize the playback with external sources like a MIDI sequencer (MTC) or a video recorder (SMPTE).

But they never say how to do this.  Frustrating.  The other frustrating thing is that the AmigaGuide manual available online is incomplete (at least in the English version).

I would be interested in discussing Samplitude with anyone who still uses it.  I use it for basic stereo editing, but I know it's capable of so much more if I could only get a manual!  Anyone have a printed manual?

By the way, the Amiga version of this software has been made freely distributable by SEK'D.

Thanks for all of your replies.  I just wish I had a better source of documentation.  The English AmigaGuide manual has dead links for important functions (like the MIDI, and BPM raster).  Apparently you can set things like Beats-Per-Minute raster, but I don't even really know what a "raster" is in Samplitude because the documentation is lacking.  Oh well...

Actually, I'd just like to hear about anybody's experiences with Samplitude - what they do/did with it.  Maybe I'll learn something new.

Generally, I use it to edit the stereo mixdowns of music I record.  I trim the ends/beginnings of the songs, do fade-outs, and normalization with Samplitude.  It's not fast like a modern PC, but I've got a few minutes to wait, and it does a fine job.
