Docdatatypes gone? Anyone still using them?
« on: March 10, 2004, 12:55:01 AM »
I think that was the name of those datatypes that allwoed one to see vaious documents including .doc (MS Word) documents.
I seen that the old webpage is gone, has development stoped?:-(
It was getting to the point where there would also be save datatypes for the various formats...

Actually I was thinking the other way around, for the Amiga to open other formats. I do think saving in .doc format would also be cool though.
I have Wordworth7 and you can save in RTF wich is readable on virtually every platform worth it.
But if someone gives you a doc, it would be cumbersome to ask that person to convert it to an Amiga readable format first...
I guess almost everyone of us has also a PC but you'd need to convert between formats on the PC and  the Amiga being an idependent machine capable of handling it is allways appealing.
