The AmigaOS's multitasking capabilities were really an advantage in in that kind of stuff. You could be rendering, doing some editing and other stuff at the same time, all smoothly. Right now software for the next version of the OS is not much. The developers kit is not out yet and there no software nor hardware supported. Hardware today will be a matter of drivers only and the Amiga's advantage will be just  the OS. So only the future will tell how things turn out, you'll still have to wait...The new version of the official AmigaOS for PPC is almost done though and the developers kit is due to be out anyday with a beta version of the OS for users that have bought the AmigaOne in advance...
