A4000 RevB or A4000 revD (was the cutdown version worse? Any known issues comparing them?)

So wich one is better?
Before someone starts typping I know the differences:

Generally more costy versions of computers were made with higher quality components. Was this true in this case?

Are there any known issues ?

Please not that there seemed to also be a RevD version with an 040. Must be rare.
