XC68060RC60As important question
« on: May 19, 2003, 04:29:34 PM »
I've read on various places in the past that the RC50As are the best to overclock, but I didn't even knew there was an RC60As version. Are these just the same with different label cause they can stand that speed without problems?
By the way, I'm gonna change a Blizzard1240 to an 060, when I don't know, but are you people interested in some info about the results? I don't know much about electronics but I have a non amigan friend that has the necessary equipment and will do the job for me. As far as I've read here and there, you need a voltage regulator and a new oscillator, but I'd like you to confirm also that the pin configuration is the same, cause I've seen people saying it is, others it's not.
Help me out with this, and I'll post the results if you're interested. It's amazing that nobody still has posted this info on the net (afaik).
Cheers

Hmm, damn jumpers. I'm gonna do this slowly as I have time by the way.
I guess I should check that out in more detail before I do anything. Does someone knows the different jumper configs?  :-?

Hi. No it's a Phase5 one, and it's not socketed. But the card is labelled 1260.
