Performance is relative. The transfer speeds on the CV are the best the Classic has attained. The Mediator and the Prometheus are rather mediocre with only around 10MB/s. I remember the Prometheus was just marginally faster, maybe it will get faster when they finally finish the firmware update.
Graphic Blitting and 3D yeah, sure... And I guess transfer speed differences varying from 14-16Mb to 10Mb/s, you probably are more interested in getting a faster GPU on your gfx card.
