Clean/Test Floppy Drive

What is the best way to ensure the Floppy drive is clean and are there any programs that out it through the paces of reading/writing to check for health?

Well, unfortunately the only version I can find is an ADF (is it even sold anymore?) and beyond that, I don't have a null modem cable even though I have licensed version of Amiga forever.  So until I get the cable, I guess I'm dead in the water.

Formatting some HD disks that have been sitting with the A3K in the garge for a few years actually was successful, and is every time I try, on the internal 880K and the external 880K A1010 that I have; however, evry time I try on the HD floppy, it fails on a cylinder.  The HD doesn't even recognize the 880K fomatted disks.

Try out AmiAlignment from Free Spirit .

Ok I was able to get the ADF to a floppy however it mentions a "calibration disk" which aparently is nowhere to be found?

Also, this unfortunately is mh HD floppy that is acting funky.  Both the internal and external 880K's are working like champs.   Will this work on the HD and do you know where to obtain this calibration disk from?
