Hi!
I'm new to this forum, and joined up because I discovered the amiga a500. This unit was at a garage sale with the 1034 monitor all for $30, and came with a ton of books for it. Also it had Workbench 1.3 and the basic disk. Just 2 floppies. The thing works fine for what I can tell. As far as I can tell, it's all stock with no modification.
Anyway, after reading up on what the amiga a500 can do, like the chip functionality, it appears that it can be a progammable sythesizer with 4 note polyphony. I wish to program the thing to do some sound generating of anykind that would be interesting or useful for experimental music production.
The problem is that I have no software other than basic, and I'm ok with programming but know nothing of C+ or anything of that sort. AND I have no hard disk, or the know how to link a windoze xp PC to an amiga, though I have reasearched that, it comes to a solution of hacking pinouts and terminal software. (a bit advanced for me, but instructions would be very useful)
If anyone could point me to some useful info or tell me what the possibilites are for sythesis on the a500 I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Clinton
