I know it sounds obvious, but there's little you can do without a SCSI adaptor. I don't remember about 600s (maybe there's a plug-in adaptor), but for 500s, the only way that I know of is to get/buy an external disk drive/SCSI combo. The AlfaData people made them in the days back before Cocky died.
