Not as far as I know because it writes the location of the icon to its parent disk, that is your CD rom which is not writable. Thats why it says volume is write protected when you try to snapshot. It maybe possible that there is a work around that would enable it to be written to the harddrive but when you went to put in a different CD with a different icon I think things would get confused.

I think the best way to deal with this little niggle is to snapshot your workbench without a cd in the drive leaving space for the cd icon to appear top left under the ramdisk icon then when you pop your cd in it will almost always appear in the same place but some different cd's will put their icon where ever they please. If there is a work around for this I'm sure that someone will let us know, but the way I discribed works well enough for me. :-)

@ ipino

Hey, Thanks for the info. :-)
I knew there must of been a way to do it, I just didn't know how. Thanks.

But I think I'll just let my icons show where they want,
as like I said they usually go to the same place just under the ram disk unless they have an icon that wants to go wherever it wants, in which case it doesn't really bother me that much. I can always drag it to some place else anyways.

Oh, and by the way your english is very understandable. :-)
