Have you added FFS to the hard drive in HDToolBox? Unless the HD's file system is added to the boot block of the HD, KS 1.3 systems can only boot from OFS HDs.

If you boot from KS 3.1 it should work, though...

Oh, you only have a 3.1 ROM installed? You should try to find a Kickstart switch. I have one for my A2000 to be able to switch between KS 1.3 and 3.1. Wouldn't live without it...
