My A1200T rarely boots at first try; I have to retry a couple of times before it boots. I do feed power through floppy power connector on the mobo, but it doesn't make any noticeable difference. I read in an old Usenet post that it helps if you feed the BlizzardPPC fan directly from the PSU rather than from the BlizzardPPC itself. I have the following two descriptions of an Eyetech product that's now out of production:
"The ADPT-PWFD-PPC is a cable which has a 4pin HD-style power connector (to go to a standard PSU) at one end, and a 2 pin plug and socket which connect to the PPC fan connector at the other end. This enables the PPC fan to be powered directly from the PSU rather than via the Amiga expansion bus, which is often the cause of crashes and lockups with PPC's."
"it is connected directly to the PPC card and has a passthrough for the fan (5v BTW according to some BVision page I come across). Unfortuanately it dosen't completely solve the booting problem but seems much better."
So, does anyone know where I can buy one of those?!?
