Sounds like your AmIRC is using your internal IP address instead of the external address. I've emailed you an arexx script to your Amiga.org address that I wrote to pull the external IP address from the router and load it into your ENV:hostname file. Once you install the script check the box to have the hostname from ENV: in your AmIRC network settings. Should get to you it your email forwarding is set up here.

Glad it worked for you. I put literaly weeks of research into solving that same problem when I got my BEFSR41 router. It's a great little box to get a simple network running fast. Now I run a Linux server as my gateway/router and can use simple resolve to my domain name to get the hostname value.

I stopped working on the arexx script once I changed over to the Linux server. I guess I'll go ahead and do a little cleaning up on the script and post it to aminet for others to use.

Wow, I actually contributed something useful here, for once. hehe....
