The Eide interface is Enhanced version of Standard IDE.
The more important feature would be if it`s got burn-proof ( mem buffer) technology.
If you go SCSI then its twice as fast and you don`t need to buy an internal ide interface or external box.
Also SCSI uses less cpu power than the IDE`s ( important for slow CPUs).
TAO means `track at once` , forget about that, just make sure that it`s multisession, ( you can re-burn the same CD, at another time).
As for brands names ,PLextor make a few good drives that are supported by amiga software.
