open a terminal in ubuntu...

type:
sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

uncomment your XP entry...

what you found is your XP install..

Your disk has windows on harddrive 0, partition 0 (hd0,0) so it is still there, looks like you just need to add "make active... I've pasted my XP entry below.
