Good point.  Actually, the first thing I need to do is go through the 5 gallon plastic container I have which contains all the transformers I've collected off old telephones, laptops, etc and see if one fits the bill.  There's proably about 30 of them in it and I'm willing to bet none of them are the correct type.  :-D

i bought  myself a universal psu which came with 6 different dc connectors and can be adjusted between 5v to 12v this cost me 15 euros :-D
