The A1200 came with an extra internal expansion called the clockport which was originally intended to be used to house an extra 1mb of RAM (originally the A1200 was to have 1mb like the A600) and an internal clock, thus why it is called the 'clock'port.
From what I can gather the pinouts here are particularly cool as they can do more than what was possibly originally intended.
The clockport can be used to connect brilliantly fantastic expansions like extra fast alternative ports, expanded capability stuff. All marvellous really.

While on the subject....oh i'll start another thread.

Yup, you can buy the 'Subway' unit for around £55 (GBP) which has 2 usb2 compatible ports (no high speed mode too fast for the classic amiga to handle).

Other bits that can be bought are the 'Delfina' sound card, Catweasel which make the amiga compatible with every shape and form of floppy disk ever produced, FastATA for fast IDE ATA ports, Silversurfer/Twister for fast Serial ports.
There is no doubt there are more expansions for it and im sure other amigans will add these.
Isn't there one for fast parallel ports?
