Internet via WinUAE
« on: December 18, 2005, 03:39:53 PM »
Hello

Long-time Amiga user, first-time poster :)

I understand it's possible to connect to the Internet using WinUAE by ticking the 'bsdsocket.library emulation' checkbox in the misc section.  I've done this, but now I'm a bit stuck as to what to do next.  I have an HD-based Workbench 3.0 booting off Kickstart 3.1 - can someone point me in the right direction (or in the direction of a tutorial) please?

Thanks

Chris

Thanks all for the advice! :)  I'll try out that workbench guide and see what it takes me - thanks again!  :-D

Well, I've followed the tutorial and now have a Scalos+NewIcons set up.  Can't say I'm that keen on the icons though... ;)

I took a look at the AmiKit download and must say the screenshots look very impressive (almost OS4.0-ish?) I just finished downloading it and then noticed the 'Workbench 3.1 is not supported' caveat - argh!

Well, I've always been after the Kickstart 1.0, etc. ROMs so AmigaForever 2005 Plus Edition is slowly downloading to my PC as I type!
