But seriously, nicknames come about either as a convenience (like abbreviations/contractions) or as an endearment - I think it's nice that the Amiga is so fondly remembered/regarded by some that they call it 'Miggy' - C64's are referred to as 'bread-bins' and what do people call Atari ST's???
The fact that in 2015, soon to be 2016 we have various modern-ish OS choices and new hardware and software being developed is a testimony to how influential the 'Miggy's been in the lives and imaginations of users throughout the decades
