You need to connect some spare rca plugs to the a4000 sound output. Otherwise the audio signals on the VideoSlot show exactly this behaviour.

For older boards a capacitor needs to be removed and a resistor to be replaced against a 0Ohm bridge.
Have to look up which ones.
