This is one of the reasons I have gone for DVI out on the FPGAARCADE board (it has analogue as well). You can connect the DVI out with a cable to the HDMI input of a digital telly, and it "should" work at standard PAL/ NTSC resolutions - I haven't tried this as I haven't finished the board yet
It's also a lot easier to scan double digitally the DVI out for a normal monitor than do it in analogue land.
