If you do use graphics and more colourful icons remember that on a standard Amiga there is only 2 mig of chip (grapics) ram so other programs may not work properly if you spiffy up your workbench too much.

Going from a A1200 to an A2000 is a step backward in more then one way. You would be loosing the AGA graphics capabilities of the 1200 and the 1200 also has far more exspantion capabilities then the 2000 has.
Your best option is to get yourslf an empty mid sized tower case and carfuly transfer the a1200 into that. Then you will have lots of room.

You dont really need a "kit" to towerise your 1200. All you need is a nice clean empty tower case and you just take the A1200 mb and mount it to the side plate where the PC mb was normaly mounted to. Its not that hard, the only thing you may need to do is modify the back so your connectors fit right. There are several people on here that have done this. I put my A4000 desktop in to a tower seen here and it gave me so much more space. Hopfuly somone on here that has done there A1200 and can walk you through this and maybe show you a picture of what it looks like.
