UK date on OS4 tour - campaign
« on: June 02, 2003, 07:17:37 PM »
Well, before I even consider campaigning for this, does anybody know if a UK date for the tour is currently being organised?  I'd happily organise one myself, but (a) I don't know where to start, and (b) I can't organise coloured shapes into matching buckets, even if all the shapes are all the same colour, and there is only one bucket.

So, is anything being planned?  Is anybody more qualified than me to actually plan something?  Or do I have to put my feet where my mouth is (to completely scramble a metaphor) and try and get something organised myself?

I reckon location is key... it's gotta be in London or Birmingham really to draw a decent crowd, Birmingham would be great because it's accessible and central (would probably be cheaper to hold something there too)

That's the other problem I have - I'm not really within two hours of Stansted (it has to be, as the top tour bloke said so :-)).  If I put something together, it will be in a small village in the middle of nowhere.  Lovely location, but nobody'll be able to find it, and the Amigas will end up being on a table in the middle of a field, with no electricity supply.

With that in mind, it may be better if I offer to help somebody else organise this, I would be quite happy to help set up, make coffee, etc, even if it meant taking a day off work (especially if it meant taking a day off work :-D), providing I'm not off on holiday or something silly like that on the day.

So, if anybody finds themselves needing a volunteer, PM me.
