Wait, did you just report to YouTube that someone was using your song without permission when that was a song made from you using someone else's song without permission?!?!?

I never claimed that what he produced was my own work - I was quite up front about the fact that it was a remix of his vocal track. Also, I made the remix for my own pleasure and put it on my web space. It was his decision to download it and use it in his YouTube video.

Like I said, I used his vocals but was very up front about this. I never claimed the vocals were my own work.

If you read the original thread you'll see that the remixes were referred to as exactly that - original music featuring Doomy's original vocal. No ownership of the vocals was claimed by anybody. That's a bit different to Doomy using the remix in his video and saying "I did this".

For the record, my attitude to copyright is that credit should be given where it's due. My opinion is that this was done when the remix was posted by me, but not when HC used it in his video - hence the complaint.

I'm just going to say one more thing on the subject of this stupid track:

Doomy's original vocal performance: uploaded to YouTube, no credit given to authors
My remix: uploaded to private web space and link provided, credit given to Doomy
Doomy's new video: uploaded to YouTube, no credit given to authors

It's the dishonesty that bugs me, not the legality.

Now on a more serious note, would I get lynched if I admitted that I've never seen a Python film?
