I'm a bit rusty when it comes to SCSI, but ISTR having a similar problem with my A1200T. IIRC I hadn't terminated the SCSI chain properly. You have to make sure the cable is terminated at both ends with the correct type of terminator - i.e. if you're using a 32 bit drive, you can't use 16 bit terminators as it would leave the upper (or lower) 16 bits unterminated. Or something
Basically, make sure your terminators are appropriate for the drives and controller, and make sure there's no conflict of SCSI IDs - either with other drives or with the controller itself.
