( I know AOS4.x is locked in, but hard to compare a 1000+ hobby users to, well, looking online at Apple in Q2 2008 had almost 11% World Wide "laptop" market share.
It seems to me that it makes more sense for a hobby OS with a small user base to be available for generic hardware than an OS which is available for use in pretty much any quantity for hardware which is readily available.
