Is it possible to transfer files from the PC to the Amiga using a parallel cable instead of a null modem serial cable? I've read that it is possible, but I've never tried it. Also, if it can be done, how does one go about doing it? I have no null modem serial cable, or for that matter any other way of getting files to the Amiga at this point, so this is sort of a last ditch effort.

Thanks in advance for any help!

There is a way to get the first files from PC to Amiga

Please read my post (which you quote), or perhaps read these instructions. Or read both.

I understood that you want to use a parallel connection to transfer files between PC and Amiga. But for doing that, you first need to transfer some Software from PC to Amiga. With a Nullmodem cable, you can do that even if you only have a Workbench Disk. After you have transferred a connection Software, you can use your parallel cable.

BTW, a NullModem Cable is not expensive. In Germany you can buy a new one for 1,50 Euro.
