you know the only people who _really_ need over 1GB a day are those who down load lots of RAR files from newsgroups (and I'm sure you of all people  know what I'm on about ;-)
Expect all ISP's to follow suit really soon. This will be the only effective way to combat piracy of video/film.  The people banging on about DRM will be encouraged by this. I suspect that many ISP's will go the same way and maybe even go to a tiered system, similar to the GPRS model where you pay more for a band of MB's. I'm suprised really that broadband suppliers didn't come up with this from the start.
