A1200 (AT)
« on: December 05, 2005, 11:04:37 PM »
Hi,
I'm about to get an A1200 and suspect it's maybe an A1200 AT version. The reason I say this is the guy said it was 3.1 Kickstart as standard on "this type of board".
Shall I prepare myself for getting an old floppy drive for it? Do I have to mod the drive in any way if it is?
Are they the only differences (my memory is vague).
P.S. Someone advise about the accelerators too, I've heard horror stories :(

Thanks,
There is indeed a mod from aminet which would not be a problem as I'm an electronics engineer (one wire!).
The easiest solution if I do have problems is to put an old A600 HD in it.
I have loads of old DD disks so might not even have a problem.
Thanks for your help that thread was helpful.
