Yes moonwalker was released on the amiga :-D
http://hol.abime.net/2510

As the rest of the guys said theres very little you can do with the A600 except from sound trackers, gfx packages and games. But most of these will require memory and slightly faster processor. There has been afew projects involving the A600 but these where converting them into laptops:
Suzanne
http://www.amigahistory.co.uk/suzanne.html

I had my C64 then upgraded to an Amiga A600(portal into the amiga world and I could'nt afford a A1200 way back then. And then I finally managed to get a A1200 (1 or 2 of em) and upgraded it as far as I could go(BPPC,Mediator etc etc) But I found myself using my PC for alot of graphic and model work and with the PC getting more advanced and a greater selection of software I found myself hardly touching the big box amiga, so off it went to the loft! (loft as you always regret selling your big box amigas)Only ever coming down for the odd bit of retro gaming.

I have some issues running some games on the big box Amiga so it really does spend alot of time sitting in the loft. Lately I just bought myself a desktop A1200, (while waiting on it to arrived I clicked on I had enough parts in the loft to build one doh!) and fitted afew things I've had lying about in the loft like 1084s monitor, m-tec 8mb card,2.5 hdd (2gig)I'm planning on doing the internal cd drive project to it and adding a sd card reader and I'm in heaven with the real retro feel of the system the only thing that the A600 has over the A1200 is the amount of space it takes up. The A1200 is a better gaming machine due to it support for AGA and its easy to get parts for :-D

I guess you just need to ask yourself what you want to do on your amiga!

This is the path of a hardware nut! and will involve deep pockets even so more now due to OS4 being released for the classic   (guess that smiley will do). There are afew of us on here that simply enjoy upgrading there amiga's but once you reach your goal then you have to move onto something else!

You can always place adverts on here of things your wanting to buy as the chances are your gonna get it abit cheaper than you would find on ebay, and theres always the new http://amibay.co.uk its still in early days so there really is'nt much on it as of yet but keep it book marked for the future.

On the stuff i am willing to trade for amiga hardware thread a guy offerd a Apollo 1260 for £100

£100 does indeed sound like a good deal, if the person has the card for sale you should be snapping his/her hand off.

In the end only you know what you want.

I dont think he really knows what he wants thats the main problem.

IF you want a PC that runs Amiga related stuff, get that Peggy.

Why not just get a PC? things like amikit or even amithlon are pretty sweet!

Quote
IF you want to use a true Amiga and want to boost it's speed, get the 060 (which is what I would get).

Better still get a BPPC and bvision then you can run OS3.9/4.0 or MorphOS (as stated he wanted to run OS4)

Best advice your going to get is forget about everything posted in this thread and play with your little A600 and 1200 and find out what you enjoy doing. Theres's no point to having a top end Amiga just to play lower end games and apps like Dpaint,Ppaint, soundtracker etc etc. A basic system will give you hours off fun (030 with abit of memory and OS3.1)the rest is all really eye candy!

Yay someone not bad mouthing the A600

Ok lets do this, you have gone through every stage from trying to get amithtlon running on your pc, winuae to trying to buy any available amiga model, wanting a apple mac and peg 1! you stated that you wanted to use your amiga for everything and asked for peoples opinions on a public forum if you get replys you dont like then its basically just tough s**t! aslong as the posts dont break the rules of A.org then people are entitled to there views. Uses for the A600 lie in the eye of the beholder, to me the A600 is completely usless as it lacks AGA and I have a fair collection of games and demos that require AGA. So if your happy with your A600 then good for you!

now im finished feeding the troll!
