Broken cyberstorm - ways to fix?
« on: December 01, 2004, 02:44:10 PM »
Hi,

I've got a dead cyberstorm mk2 here (which actually is a modified 040 to 060 one).

I have long since forgoten about it, but I would like to get it going. So I need some advice as to what to look for to try and fix it.

Anyway, when the accel is plugged into my miggy (A3000) the power led stays dim and that's all. I've already have another cyberstorm/040 installed which works ok. (So jumper settings should be ok).

I have tested various crystals, no luck.

I can get another 060 chip, but since that would be costly, I would like to exclude any other factors before I go out and buy one.

The 3.3V regulator does provide the mentioned voltage.

Is there anything that I should check, before I consider the 060 chip the fault on this one? (Btw, this is a strange 060, there are no typical 060 markings on it, just a huge 68060 50Mhz on the center of the chip).

The card was also tested on another amiga, no go.

Thanks for any answers.
Anyway is the only way
