A1200 Pcmcia bent pins
« on: September 14, 2007, 08:11:12 PM »
Recently aquired an Amiga 1200 for $35 usd.

What PCMCIA cards are supposed to fit in there? lookingto get the ADF Compact flash card.

I ask becuase I have a lan card I'm trying to fit in there and it looks like some the the pins are skewed/ bent just a bit.

Do 32 bitcards have a different pinout? Does the slot accept only 16 bit cards.

Thanks!

Opened her up to take a look see. Man it's clean in there really good shape. I had an old Newton 2 meg Pcmcia card and it fits just fine, and finessed the pins back.

Are there any links to 16 bitcards compatible with the 1200? I'm mainly interested in using flash cards or one of those multicard camera memory Pcmcia (sd card, memory stick, Flash) readers to go back and forth.

Yep pins on the far left and right were bent to the right. I got a pair of tweezers to fix one pin, the rest were reshaped with the Newton Card. Had no idea about the 32 bit cards being different enough to cause a problem.
