Dismantling a Microvitec 1438 monitor
« on: April 07, 2009, 08:04:50 PM »
Has anyone here ever tried to remove the back cover from a Microvitec 1438?

I need to remove the cover from mine and have taken all the screws out of it and used quite a lot of force and am still unable to remove it. I'm not sure if I might be missing something.

Thanks
Steve

(and if I get so much as one comment regarding high voltage related health and safety, I will personally connect the comment's poster to a very high voltage supply)

I figured it.

There are two tiny holes in the top which you have to insert a very thin object into in order to release the two catches. This really wasn't very obvious.

The plastic is already messed up from when I tried to force it with a screwdriver a few weeks ago.
