Installing AmigaOS3.9 without a CD

I have an AmigaOS 3.9 CDROM, but my A1200 doesn't have access to a CDROM drive.

Is it possible to copy the contents of the CDROM on a hardrive or compact flash card, and install from there?

I think I'll have to use the HD method, as Ineed to buy a new compact flash card, but I prefer to use it in my PowerBook.

Has anyone here tried installing os 3.9 from a hard drive before?

Thanks for your suggestions.

I'll try this out as soon as I can either get a big compact flash card or an adaptor to connect the amiga HD to the PC (I do have a 2.5-3.5" IDE adaptor but it broke).
