BVision and FastATA MkIII in A1200 desktop?
« on: July 27, 2008, 03:53:32 AM »
Is it possible? At the moment I have the kickstart sockets packed higher to allow the Fast ATA board to be above the BVision board. But - the keyboard now fouls on the ROM chips and won't sit low enough.

I'm thinking about making a board to shift the FAST ATA to a position that will allow the keyboard to not foul on it...or...I'm also thinking that it might be seriously time to go to a tower configuration - if so, who's got a tower for sale? ;-)

Ideas?

How is it possible? A custom kickstart socket repositioner? That's the only way I see it being possible...

I am not sure if you fully comprehended the original post...

Using more kickstart sockets won't fix the physical clash. I already have 2 sets of sockets installed to clear the bvision, but now the fast ata fouls on the keyboard. Is there an easy solution to "relocate" the fast ata to stop it fouling on the keyboard?
