« on: March 17, 2008, 05:24:01 AM »
Hi! above card ran ok in 4000T finally. I removed card to reformat harddrive using 68040 to install os 3.1 and now no memory is showing.the board and cpu show up as an 060 using the cpu command but no memory am I missing something?
I can excess the phase5 bios but something is not right I cleaned the ram sockets and chip teeth with isophrol and still no joy the only thing I can think of is that I changed the ram settings in the bios but no matter what I do I cant it to show its 128meg ram on workbench any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance guys.
cheers

Hi! sent it over to the Amiga centre should arrive tomorrow
hope he can repair it. I dont think its too serious must find some original spacers too that will fit a 4000T as this may have something to do with the problem as the ones holding it in place were slightly to long any way as I said I hope he can wave his magic wand and revive it.
cheers

Hi! all, just had a reply from Amiga Centre France and not good news at all. The card has "memory Bug" whatever that means Jean got it to recognise one 16 meg simm but it wont recognise its original memory he checked that out too and its fine running on one of his ppc cards so not good news at all I was wondering if a reflash might help its about the only thing that I hav,nt tried or perhaps a proggie that will recognise and install the ram who knows any ideas?
cheers
