Really it's sad to see some of the comments layied upon the name Amiga, but not surprising. Folks in Kent don't seems to be in the mood for failed promises.

In the States there isn't much value attached to the Amiga brand-name IMHO. Amiga was never really famous in the US, while things were very different in major parts of Europe.

Maybe a small amount of people will remember it as "some game computer", but the rest will probably think something like "George" on the forum linked above (maybe less drastic though):

Yet there seem to be some anti-Amiga campaign going on here, where the aim is to twist and turn every thing Amiga say and do to put them in a bad light. Not surprisingly QNX fanatics are involved.

Never mind, at least I got a new conspiracy theory out of this. Bill McEwen have joined forces with Ryan Czerwinski. Both are now operating from the old Commodore warehouse in Braunschweig.
