Mediator UP 3.10 & issues with voodoo.card
« on: January 13, 2006, 03:49:49 PM »
I am having issues with the voodoo.card (v4.26) driver which is included in the new Mediator UP 3.10 package.

If I use "non-PC" modes (e.g. 1024x768, 16 bit) as the desktop resolution or in Warp3D demos/games, the colors are completely messed up.
With the old (version 4.23) drivers, I did not have a single problem.

Are you having the same issues? And as a general question, did you see any improvements (benchmarks?) with the new drivers (including the new pci.library)?

Speaking for myself, the only thing I have noticed until now is the introduction of a new bug. :-(

put it one way any updates for this platform are appreciated I think

Yep, I agree. Anyway, I find it quite odd that they did not notice such an obvious bug.
I mean, it would have been already sufficient to go through the different screenmodes after the driver was written. Not too much to ask for, don't you think?

@kas1e:

I will also test with Syspeed and Picasso96Speed. Anyway, I don't think there will be a big differnce between them. Sometimes you'll even get these differences when running the benchmark several times.
