Yeah.. 3.1 ROMs will allow you to boot WB 3.1, 3.9 AND 3.9
First thing to get should be the 3.1 ROMs IMO

Viruses.. I wouldn't worry too much... There are virus scanners out there though.. look on aminet.net for those (I think)
