Damn you Newicons!!!

I installed Newicons but i want to remove it now.

When i click the Newicons remover it starts removing and then gets a Suspend or Reboot thingy.

Now i am left with messed up folder icons, messed up Ram and Floppy icons and messed up icons with No default tools.

Please help me!!

I need to remove every last trace of newicons and maybe even that classact crap too

Im gonna attempt installing OS3.1 over my current install

Simply remove the NewIcons patch from s:user-startup, then you'll no longer see the new icons. They'll still be stored in the icon files but you won't see them.

If you also remove newicon.library from libs: no other program will be able to load the new icons, either.



This won't help. User-Startup and third-party libs are not touched by the installation script.

Thanks.. I did that yesterday but ended up with a few messed up files & folders. Since my 3.1 installation was pretty recent i just went ahead and reformatted the System partition and re-installed OS3.1.

Do you just want to be able to display all kinds of icons on your WB? There's a solution for that...
