I'm trying to get my a1200 online. The a1200 has a pcmcia network card and i am using the software which comes with AmigaOS 3.9.
I installed the driver from the cd which came with the network card and chose it in genesis. My problem was when it asks me for the ip address. Since genesis does not support dhcp i chose to manually enter the ip address.
I have no idea what to enter exactly but my ip range is 192.168.1.xx so i tried 3 or 4 entries sort of like 192.168.1.55 etc.. etc..
When i click connect the indicator in genesis goes green and says its connected and my imac which the network cable is connected to says that a network cable is connected in network settings but there is no internet on the a1200 as it connect to any websites.
My imac receive internet via wifi and i usually share it to a pentium4 pc by sharing the wifi connection over ethernet using the macs network settings without any problems.
In this case i am instead of connecting the pc to the macs ethernet port i am connecting the amiga.
